time to get organised - what we need to discuss

once you have set your date

We would love to talk to you about your wedding day plans - contact us to discuss our availability and to help you select a collection that is a perfect fit.

your day, your way

Every couple has different requirements and we can work with you to tailor a package that suits you perfectly.  Just let us know and we can create a custom package for you.

the booking process

Once you have decided you would like us to capture your special day, we will send you a form where you can enter all of your details.  From this information, your contract is then prepared together with a booking proposal.  A 30% deposit is required to secure and lock in your date.  A copy of your contract will be sent to you for signing, which we will countersign.  Your date is then secured and your booking completed.

the meeting

Around the same time as your booking process, we will also schedule a meeting.  During your meeting we will have a detailed conversation about your wedding day.  We will also discuss the finer points so that nothing is left to chance and what is important to you regarding your wedding photography.

one month prior to wedding

The balance for all collections are due one month prior to your wedding day.  This is to ensure that we get a head start on your images and keep to our deadlines.  It will also allow us to begin the design process on your wedding album, with no fuss - while you enjoy your honeymoon.

one day before the wedding

We will contact you to assure you that everything is going according to plan.  We will also make sure you have no further questions and are stress free and ready for your big day!

your wedding timeline - a smooth flow to your special day

groom preparations

It is important to capture details of the groom getting ready and being assisted by his groomsmen as he suits up for the big day.  It is the best time for portraits of the groom with is parents and family and is the perfect time for some fun shots with the groomsmen.

bride preparations

The dress and the shoes are simply just the beginning.  There are so many details to capture as the bride is getting ready and being helped by her bridesmaids into her beautiful dress.  This is the best time for some stunning portraits of the bride and of course to be photographed with her parents, family and bridesmaids.

groom + bride preparations

During the preparations we will take some close up detailed shots of the suit, rings, dress, shoes, floral arrangements and any other key styling shots that make your wedding unique.

the wedding ceremony

We like to arrive at the ceremony 30 minutes before the bride has planned to arrive.  This ensures we have enough time to set up and to capture detailed shots of the ceremony and guests before the bride walks down the aisle.  We want to make sure we are ready and awaiting her arrival.  We will take key shots during the ceremony that cover multiple perspectives and the all important first kiss.  After the ceremony has concluded, we like to allow 15 minutes for your family and friends to congratulate you before the formal family photographs.

formal family photographs

During our meeting we will provide you with a family photo list (to be completed and returned one week prior to the wedding day). This will ensure the smooth running of your family portraits and any specific combinations you may require.

The formal family/group portrait timing can vary widely depending on your group size and family/group combinations.  Most couples are happy with the formal family portraits to be with their immediate family (at this point).  Extended family members such as aunties, uncles and cousins can be covered at the reception.

the location shoot

Timing can depend largely on the size of your bridal party and the variety of locations selected.

your reception

After your location shoot we will leave for the reception together.  The bridal party usually have a room to freshen up in before being announced into the reception.  During this time we like to capture the reception room, bridal and guest tables, wedding cake, table decorations and favours.

Depending on the collection you have selected, we may also be there to capture cutting the cake, your first dance, father/daughter + mother/son dance, speeches and guests dancing and sharing your joy.
