you're engaged - congratulations!
Soon you will be making plans for your amazing wedding day. Your wedding day requires a lot of planning and preparation and for most couples, the engagement photography session is their first professional photography shoot together.
I said "yes", now what?
Your engagement portrait session provides you with an opportunity to work with your photographer prior to your wedding day.
It is an ideal way to become more comfortable and experience what it is like in front of the camera and will also give you the chance to bond with your photographer so you feel at ease on the big day.
So, when planning, don't forget about engagement sessions and try to book in as early as you can. The earlier we shoot your engagement session, the longer you will have to plan what you would like to use your images for.
Engagement sessions are a great excuse to put aside the stressful parts of planning a wedding and just enjoy one another and most of all - to have some fun together!
choosing a location
You are welcome to choose a location or you can let us recommend a few of our favourite spots based on what you love.
Your engagement session can be as simple as a stroll through your favourite park or the chance to use a location that might not be available to you on your wedding day.
what to wear
Wear outfits that you feel comfortable in and express who you are as a couple. You are more than welcome to bring an alternative outfit with you on the day. Prior to your engagement session, we will also discuss styling and props. It is also a great idea to have your hair and make-up trial so that you can see what it will look like in your photographs.
engagement session images
Formal or informal, images from your engagement session are beautiful additions to your wedding album and can also make a wonderful guest book or signing frame for your wedding day. They help craft the whole story and can even be used for save-the-date cards, invitations or thank you cards.
